Nedspice received FSA certification for black pepper farmers

News 23 Apr 2021

We are very proud to announce that we have passed the independent audit by Control Union and received the 1st FSA (Farm Sustainability Assessment) certification for 311 black pepper farmers from Bing Phuoc Province in Vietnam. All farmers have passed the FSA at Silver level, which means their farming standard is equal to a Rainforest Alliance certified farm.

The farmers that have received the FSA certificate are all part of Nedspice Farmers Partnership Programme (NFPP) and as such have followed various trainings on Good Agriculture Practices. The assessment has benchmarked our existing NFPP programme against international industry-leading sustainable standards. In other words, by achieving FSA Silver standard we can now say that NFPP for black pepper is a certified sustainable programme.

This achievement not only helps us to expand our programme in Vietnam and thereby making the spice industry increasingly sustainable, it also helps us in meeting the growing demand of our customers for sustainable products.

The certificate can be found here. If you wish to learn more about Farm Sustainability Assessment, please visit this website. Here you can find more information on Nedspice Farmers Partnership Programme.
