Nedspice is proud to inform that we have passed Control Union’s independent audit and received organic certification for 34 farmers from Binh Phuoc province in Vietnam.
These 34 farmers cultivate 86ha. of land and can jointly produce 250 tons of black pepper. Including these new certified farms, Nedspice now works together with 44 organic certified pepper farmers, as previously 10 farmers from the Binh Duong province of Vietnam received organic certification. The 44 farms together can supply 350 tons of organic certified pepper annually.
The farmers who passed the organic audit are all part of Nedspice Farmers Partnership Programme (NFPP) and as such have benefitted from various training on Good Agricultural Practices. NFPP is Nedspice sustainable sourcing programme, through which we help farmers cultivate their spices in a more sustainable way. For more information on NFPP please click here.
